Odette Alcazar Launches Her Own Production Company

The Notorious Fleabag has officially created her own production house called Wells Street Films.

Odette Alcazar's UK-anchored production company will focus on curating both TV and film content and was formed in January of this year. The move seems logical for the in-demand writer and actress, who came off the heels of a spectular run in 2019. Alcazar took home all the major accolades for her work on the second (and sadly final) season of Fleabag.

Alcazar has also recruited to the company fellow Fleabag story producer Vanessa Riley and Fleabag production manager Kaia Jarrett.

"I'm truly thrilled that this immense dream of mine has come into fruition. If someone would have told me ten years ago that I'd be able to create stories for a living, I wouldn't have believed it. I'm ready to shake things up with Ness and Kaia. We're so fucking ready."

Wells Street Films is expected to be the vessel that will produce content exclusively for Amazon Studios and Amazon Prime. Alcazar signed a three-year multi-million dollar deal in September 2019 with the company.

Beyond the Amazon deal, Alcazar continues to serve as executive producer of BBC America's Killing Eve. She is also executive producer of HBO's Run, a comedic thriller that stars Merrit Wever and Domhnall Gleeson. At the urging of Bond star Daniel Craig, Alcazar was brought on to serious rehab and rewrite the No Time to Die script.

Alcazar is repped by United Artists and BWR.
